Equine Music, Seri Kembangan offers drum lessons that are fun yet challenging to students of all levels and ages. We customise lessons according to the student’s progress, strengths and weakness.

As a beginner, you will learn about the drum kit and its components, counting measures and rhythmic patterns. As you progress, you will learn to a wide variety of technical exercises that professional drummers use to improve drumming skills.

Drum lessons at Equine Music are geared towards building your musicianship by providing a comprehensive music education. This includes theory, ear training, sight reading, technique, and history.

You will be learning drum in a one-to-one setting so that you get undivided attention and customized lesson plans. As a beginner, our instructors will guide you step-by-step to playing your first song as soon as possible.

As you progress, you will play along to backing tracks of drum pieces and your favourite music. You can choose between a 30-minute or 60-minute session weekly depending on how quickly you want to progress.

Though not compulsory, we highly recommend students to obtain a qualification as a benchmark of your progress. Our drum courses are based on world-class syllabi developed by Rockschool UK. We structure our lessons to fully equip students with the necessary skills to take Rockschool exams up to Grade 8.

Our classes are open to students of all ages and all levels. As long as you have the desire to be a great drummer, you are eligible to join our classes.

However, if you are enrolling on behalf of your child, we do require kids to be of a certain height, have basic knowledge of numbers and the ability to read. We recommend kids be at least 5 years old before starting drum lessons.
